Q-Tip shows off his studio, vinyl collection, and work board.

A Tribe Called Quest's last album ever We Got It from Here… Thank You 4 Your Service will drop tonight at midnight. Before the album arrives (and before ATCQ performs on SNL), Q-Tip gave CBS a tour of his home basement studio in New Jersey, where the vast majority of the project was recorded.

Statik Selektah was the only other person besides Tip present at the studio. “Every time I come here, something historic happens,” said Statik. Tip went on to show his whiteboard where visitors (Kanye West, Andre 3000, Alicia Keys, etc) signed their name and he jotted down ideas and track titles. He later took CBS on a tour of his 9,000-record vinyl collection.
